The Plastics

The idea of this piece is inspired by the ugly side of plastic surgery and what it takes to obtain the ideal body and beauty standards in todays society. By looking into social media and magazines that portrays the ‘perfect’ look. By taking elements from the body and face that fits into todays society beauty standards of an ‘ideal’ looking person and piece them together to form a collage. The outcome(not so suprising) turn out to be a disfigured silhouette, however this approached is a more extremist way to represent how this idealogy of a ‘perfect’ look is so unachievable
